Monster Train developer Shiny Shoe has just announced a release date for its next game: Inkbound. The co-op tactical roguelite is set to leave Early Access when Update 1.0 lands on April 11.
There are a bunch of additions coming with the big 1.0, which lands after almost a year in Early Access, including a new quest line that culminates in a battle with the Final Boss.
On top of that, players can expect to see full controller support and a refined Steam Deck experience (yay), as well as additional character classes, new locations to explore, and a variety of under-the-hood tweaks. As they put it:
“These include a deep editing pass to ensure that that text is consistent throughout; quality-of-life updates; and player-requested balancing adjustments designed to keep Inkbound challenging over the long haul.”
Creative director Andrew Krausnick added: “We’ve focused the experience around the core storylines, eliminated randomness, and made sure all characters are fully voiced. If you’ve tried Inkbound before or are here for the first time, this is the definitive version.”
