With rogueliking and vinyl collecting taking up much of my free time these days, I thought it would be a fun exercise to see how many of my favourite games’ soundtracks have received the physical treatment.

It turns out there are far more than you or I could expect, with many featuring stunning bespoke artwork and eye-catching coloured vinyl that makes them genuine collector’s pieces.

Whilst it’s tempting to send myself spiraling into debt trying to collect them all, I decided instead to put together this guide cataloging the best roguelite vinyl releases for both my future self and you, our lovely readers.

A quick note before we dive in: not all of these are still available through official retailers, but you can often find them through resellers on sites such as Discogs.

Anyway, onto my very first pick…

Cult of the Lamb – original soundtrack

Unlike many other inclusions on our list, the Cult of the Lamb soundtrack can be found in the High Street, being available at HMV in the UK.

Pressed on two black and red splatter LPs, this 42-track synth-driven soundtrack from River Boy is a must-own for Cult of the Lamb fans. Tracks like Work and Workshop and Start a Cult perfectly embody the game’s cosy charm, whilst Martyred and Vephar show off its darker, more sinister side.

The cover is absolutely stunning, reminiscent of the game’s Collector’s Edition, and the inner sleeve cleverly depicts the game’s darker, hidden evil.

Slay the Spire – original soundtrack

One of the newest releases here is the re-released soundtrack for Slay the Spire, which Mega Crit dropped in celebration of its sequel’s success.

This epic orchestral soundtrack from composer Clark Aboud is available in two variants: standard black and exclusive yellow-and-blue colored edition. Not a simple reprint of the original, this new version includes gorgeous new artwork from Nimit Malavia, as well as four new psych rock versions of classic tracks on vinyl for the very first time.

The music perfectly captures the tension and thrill of climbing the Spire, and I get goosebumps just listening in the player below. Pre-orders for the vinyl are now open with shipping expected in July/August 2026.

Cult of the Lamb: Hymns of the Unholy

You might be scratching your heads over seeing Cult of the Lamb twice, but believe us, these releases are very different beasts.

This six-track EP delivers fist-pumping metal arrangements of River Boy’s original Cult of the Lamb soundtrack. These versions give the award-winning score a completely new lease on life, featuring guest appearances from metal royalty including Howard Jones (Light The Torch, Sion, ex-Killswitch Engage), Matthew K. Heafy (Trivium), Josh Baines (Malevolence), and Sean Long (While She Sleeps).

It’s worth noting too that this one can also be purchased on Steam as a standalone soundtrack. I’ve got my fingers crossed that Massively Monster will also given Woolhaven the same treatment later down the line.

Elden Ring: Nightreign – the limited vinyl collection

Similar to Slay the Spire, this is another vinyl release that isn’t out yet, and I can see being snapped up extremely quickly.

FromSoftware soundtracks have always struck me as some of the grandest and most tension-filled in gaming, and Nightreign is no exception. I can’t wait to unwind while reliving the horrors of facing Heolstor the Nightlord and Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow, as I listen to their epic boss themes.

As for the physical release itself, it includes 57 tracks across seven galaxy printed vinyl discs including ones from the The Forsaken Hollows DLC. The package also includes other goodies such as an art print, a certificate of authenticity, and a premium-quality slip case. Quantities are limited to 4,999, so you’ll have to act fast if you want to add it to your collection.

Pre-orders for the limited vinyl collection are now open with shipping to be expected in summer 2026.

Vampire Survivors – OST Vol.1

With its blood-spattered vinyl and stunning original artwork by Nimit Malavia, this release is one hell of a shelf piece.

The 23-track soundtrack from composers Daniele Zandara, Filippo Vicarelli, and Will Davies captures the chaos of facing increasing waves of enemies, with the church organ lending a brooding, vampire-like gothic atmosphere to the music.

As you might have seen, Vol. 2 of the game’s OST recently found its way onto streaming platforms, so it’s possible it too may end up on vinyl.

Rogue Legacy – original soundtrack

With death being a recurring theme in rogues, it’s unsurprising that most of these LPs are coloured in red.

One of the most reasonably priced releases on our list at just $15, this physical edition of the Rogue Legacy soundtrack features 18 tracks from Tettix and A Shell in the Pit. One nice touch is that you also receive an instant digital version on Bandcamp in FLAC, MP3, or WAV.

My personal favourite highlights of this one are Poot Yan (Minigame) and Trilobyte (Game Version). Both tracks really evoke a sense of nostalgia for me and sound like they are forgotten classics from the SNES-era.

As noted in its description, you can pass your vinyl collection down from generation to generation, even if you can’t pass down all your traits.

Rogue Legacy 2 – original soundtrack

We can’t have the original Rogue Legacy without also giving a nod to its excellent sequel.

Unlike the original, this 22-track soundtrack is spread across two translucent purple and blue discs. Its gatefold design, created by artist Justin Chan, is a real sight to behold, showcasing several of the game’s classes.

The music is more of the same nostalgia-fueled goodness from Tettix and A Shell in the Pit, and this also comes with a free digital download code.

Dead Cells – Volume 2

This is another absolute beauty that I find myself trying to convince my wallet I don’t need.

Spread over three green, ochre and light blue discs, Volume 2 of the soundtrack includes several tracks from the metroidvania’s DLC expansions Rise of the Giant, The Bad Seed, Fatal Falls and The Queen and the Sea. In addition to all of this, it also includes tracks from the game’s animated trailers as well as several post-launch updates (“Distillery” and “Corrupted Prison”.)

Sure, this isn’t the original soundtrack, but the three coloured discs and striking new artwork from Boris Moncel make it feel like a true collector’s piece, and I can’t wait to finally get my hands on it.

Risk of Rain 2 – original soundtracks and Survivors of the Void

This is technically two entries, but I’m going to allow it as both aren’t officially released at the time of writing. Seekers of the Storm also got a standalone release, but that’s probably too much to mention now.

Both of these look absolutely incredible with them being pressed on bright coloured splatter vinyl and featuring original artwork from Daniele Giardini. Both are available in coloured variants as seen above as well as an “Artist’s Choice”: Classic black 180g vinyl.

Pre-orders are open now with shipping expect this August.

Hades – original soundtrack

We’re wrapping things up with an absolute bang here with the Hades soundtrack composed by Darren Korb.

The Hades soundtrack has been recognised as one of the best in gaming, earning nominations for Best Music at the BAFTA Games Awards and Best Score & Music at The Game Awards. I’m a big fan of this one myself and whilst preparing for this list, I could help but find myself head banging to tracks like Out of Tartarus and The Painful Way.

The set itself is once again is pure eye candy with it featuring four smoke grey vinyl discs with different boon symbols in the center. Each disc also comes with its own illustrated jack designed by Jesse Tan. A red variant is also available, but sadly at the time of writing it’s sold out.

That’s all for now, but I will continue to come back and edit this feature as more awesome roguelite vinyl releases make their way to market.

The Best Roguelike Games: great roguelites, deckbuilders, RPGs, bullet heavens, and more

Next, there are genre-specific lists that delve into the best roguelike games of all types. I’ve pulled out the best examples from each category, alongside the links to more in-depth articles!

The best turn-based roguelikes: Caves of Qud | There are some seriously incredible turn-based roguelikes out there. Of all the modern games, these are the closest to the original Rogue.

Great bullet heavens and auto-shooters: Vampire Survivors | There could be only one choice for this category, given how all other games are called survivors-likes for a reason!

Awesome first-person rogues: Gunfire Reborn | We almost went with Blue Prince for this spot, but most people checking out first-person rogues probably want to wield a gun, you know?!

Cool roguelike deckbuilders: Balatro | Sorry, Slay the Spire fans, but this poker-solitaire deckbuilder has stolen Mike’s heart and won’t give it back.

Brilliant roguelite top-down and third-person shooters: Returnal | Bit of a broad one, but with our other favourite action-roguelites featured elsewhere, we were obliged to mention Returnal here.

Exciting roguelike platformers: Spelunky | Now, don’t get us wrong, Dead Cells is an incredible game, especially with all the DLC switched on. But when it comes to impact, you just can’t beat Spelunky.

Strategy Roguelikes: FTL Faster Than Light | Another classic roguelike that we’re still playing years after launch.

Amazing action-roguelites: Hades 2  | And finally, let’s wrap things up with our favourite of them all. There’s no beating the original Hades, although Hades 2 comes pretty close!
