A carrier pigeon just landed bearing a press release, and thus I feel obliged to share the contents of its message.
The news is that multiplayer spaceship sim This Means Warp is heading to consoles on November 30!
Jagex is publishing the Outlier Games authored title, and it looks suspiciously like a raucous blend of Overcooked and FTL.
I can’t comment on the game further, as I’ve not played the PC version, which has been out since May, 2023. What I can confirm is that the game supports multiplayer for between 1 and 4 players.
The game features “a comical but dangerous procedurally generated universe where only their friends will hear them scream.” Hopefully that’s the good kind of screaming…
There is a solo mode complete with AI-controlled crewmates. Apparently there’s a varied roster, too. Real friends are better, though, so bring some along either for local or online multiplayer.
Finally, the fine print. This Means Warp is heading to PlayStation 4/5, Switch, and Xbox platforms on November 30. If you’re on PC, you don’t have to wait as the game’s out now on Steam.
