It was mere days ago that I wrote about the upcoming Sins of the Flesh update for Cult of the Lamb. If you missed it, the game is getting a sex update next year, with the news confirmed by the developer over on social media, with more news teased in the coming weeks.
Since then, idle minds have begun to wonder, what exactly does cute cultist animal sex look like in an otherwise Teen-rated video game? What’s more, would Massive Monster’s age rating rise to meet to occasion?
Well, if you were hoping for the game to get raunchy when Sins of the Flesh lands next year, and I’m sure there’s one or two of you who are, I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news: it’s really not.
We know this because the developer has been sharing more information about what to expect from the update, and using other examples from within gaming, it sounds like we don’t have to worry about things getting too naughty.
Massive Monster comes clean
“We used games like Pokémon and The Sims when it comes to references, but put our own cult-ish spin on things. The age rating will not change,” the studio told sex-obsessed gaming outlet Polygon.
“We have been working on Sins of the Flesh since we finished the last update earlier this year. When it comes to follower fornication it was something we workshopped a long time ago and didn’t go with, but now our programmers are working on the update as we speak,” the dev teased.
“Our team is very talented and we have no doubt that it will be ready for release. We always finish on time.”
Finishing on demand is a rare skill in the gaming industry; here’s hoping Massive Monster can put on a show as promised early next year, when Sins of the Flesh is due to land on PC and console.
