I missed this at the beginning of the week, but it’s too interesting to let it pass by without a bit of proper coverage here on Rogueliker.
The news I’m talking about is the announcement of a new spin-off in the 20 Minutes Till Dawn universe. This roguelike auto-shooter borrows the main game’s distinctive visual style.
20MTD: Emberpath is described as a Lovecraftian roguelike and “a condensed RPG experience, with its deep play choice and theorycrafting potential.” We’ll be evolving our powers so we can better wade through sinister hordes, which sounds great to me.
Emberpath will focus on unique builds and replayability, via a robust range of characters, abilities and artifiacts (apparently there’ll be sets to collect). Play sessions are pegged at around 20-minutes.
Emberpath Release Date
You should definitely head over to Steam and consider wishlisting the game, plus there are more screenshots to gaze at there.
What you won’t find is a definite launch window, so stay tuned for more on that. We’ll update this page with any and all details we uncover in the weeks and months ahead.
While we’re on the subject of 20 Minutes Till Dawn, the game is currently on sale as part of the Bullet Hell Fest that I covered at the start of the week. If you’ve not already played it, now’s the time.

Cool roguelike deckbuilders: Balatro | Sorry, Slay the Spire fans, but this poker-solitaire deckbuilder has stolen Mike’s heart and won’t give it back.
Exciting roguelike platformers: Spelunky | Now, don’t get us wrong, Dead Cells is an incredible game, especially with all the DLC switched on. But when it comes to impact, you just can’t beat Spelunky.
