One of the most interesting emails to land in my inbox today was about a major update for Conquest Dark. This Conan-inspired fantasy survivors-like has just received its first new class since launch, and I’m very much looking forward to checking it out, too.
The class is the Necrolord, and both Diablo and Path of Exile fans will likely find themselves enjoying the aesthetic and application of this new class.

The Necrolord lands alongside a new race and the promise of further differentiation for races in a future update. The new undead-summoning class is also linked to the newly added companion system, which allows you limited control over your mininos/helpers.
I downloaded the update and jumped in, eager to sample the new class as I very much enjoyed the game at launch (my Conquest Dark review has all the details).
When I opened up the map, I realised I had some work to do before I would unlock everything in the update. There’s work to do, but that’s not a bad thing, as Eldritch Sword Games appears to have added a whole bunch of stuff since the last time I looked.
That being the case, these are not hands-on impressions, but rather a heads-up that the new class exists. To meet the Necrolord yourself, you’ll need to find The First Graves, the ice-cold new ritual that hides the undead powers that have just been added to Conquest Dark.
If you want the patch notes and a few additional details about the new content that has just been added to the game, head to Steam.
