If you’re a glutton for punishment, you’ll be pleased to know Elden Ring Nightreign is adding four more Everdark Sovereigns on July 31.
In a post on X, the official Elden Ring account revealed that the next group of Nightlords to receive more powerful incarnations are Tricephalos, Augur, Equilibrious Beast and Fissure in the Fog.
Out of the selection above, I’m most interested in challenging the Everdark version of Augur. During my initial playthrough, I found it very slow moving and easy to take down with a group of ranged attackers. Maybe it will now receive the buff it so desperately needs.
I got the chance to review Elden Ring Nightreign last month and concluded my review by saying:
“If you’re a Souls enthusiast with a group of friends who are looking to play something together, I would say it’s worth it. However, if you don’t check both of those boxes, Nightreign has the potential to frustrate and I advise caution before diving in alone and unarmed.”

The best turn-based roguelikes: Caves of Qud | There are some seriously incredible turn-based roguelikes out there. Of all the modern games, these are the closest to the original Rogue.
Awesome first-person rogues: Gunfire Reborn | We almost went with Blue Prince for this spot, but most people checking out first-person rogues probably want to wield a gun, you know?!
Cool roguelike deckbuilders: Balatro | Sorry, Slay the Spire fans, but this poker-solitaire deckbuilder has stolen Mike’s heart and won’t give it back.
Exciting roguelike platformers: Spelunky | Now, don’t get us wrong, Dead Cells is an incredible game, especially with all the DLC switched on. But when it comes to impact, you just can’t beat Spelunky.
Amazing action-roguelites: Hades 2 | And finally, let’s wrap things up with our favourite of them all. There’s no beating the original Hades, although Hades 2 comes pretty close!
