I opened the old inbox this morning to discover a press release about one of my favourite series, specifically with regards to a free update that just dropped for Darkest Dungeon II.
Red Hook last night shared the news that the hero origin skins, as seen in the Shrine of Remembrance, are now available in the game. Check the graphic below…
Moreover, you can now use an expanded array of modding tools to better customise character skins and weapon kits, should you so wish.
The presser also details the ongoing changes being made as part of the Steadfast Steward’s Update. If you want to be a test subject and help the game improve for other players, head over to the DD Discord for all the skinny on the fifth round of community updates.
Darkest Dungeon II continues to be regularly updated by Red Hook, although it must be hard to keep track of everything; the new update is currently PC only (Mac, Win). Console owners on PlayStation, Switch and Xbox will have to wait for their free skins, however.
On the brightside, a slew of free updates are either out now or still coming to one and all, as Kingdoms modules continue to drop. The graphic below illustrates the game’s post-launch journey quite well, as well as highlighting an upcoming third module and this week’s newest update!
