If you’re looking for another poker-based roguelike to get your fix after beating Balatro, you might want to check out Hero’s Hand.
Announced at Day of the Devs 2025 earlier this week, the game blends poker, RPGs, and roguelites to “make the wildest single player adventure possible.” Developed and published by Villain Games, Hero’s Hand is heading to PS5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2026.
According to its Steam description, the game sees us play as the Knight of Spades and battle against maniacal monsters to save the land of Carduia. Players move around a board picking up cards to form the best poker hands possible with the cards that they are dealt.
The page also notes that there are four characters to chose between with their own unique abilities. Each run is randomised to help keep things fresh, featuring 180+ fortunes to buff your characters, 60+ scrolls and potions to support in combat and 60+ unique combat encounters.
